2007->2013 toward Co-existence
I gather that we have still a long wait for E2K7 SP3 RU(9?) or whatever it is that will allow co-existence.
My question is to what extent does that gate my E2K7 -> E2K13 transition project?
Is it supported or encouraged to stand up my E2K13 infrastructre, configure my name spaces as they will need to be, basically do everything but move users, and then light up co-existence when the update ships?

You should wait. Stand it up in an isolated lab and learn about it for now.

Thanks Ed. Been reading your posts for years. Any word out there as to when coex is coming?
This potentially puts me in the bizarre situation of deploying Exchange 2010 in CY 2013, with mainstream support for it ending the following year. Money's here now - June 2013? Who knows?

Evan,
When is the expected ship date for this? Will it be RU9?

I have installed exchange 2013 with 2007 co existence and it got installed without any issues.
Haven't tested the configuration entirely, as Ed said, Wait and tryout in LAB first.Gulab Prasad,

We haven't announced which roll up will be required for coexistence with Exchange 2007 and haven't announced a release date yet. Until we do, coexistence between Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013 isn't supported.Senior Technical Writer - Exchange. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Ok - that's clear enough.
Thanks

It's a shame MS did not release a finished product.

@Gulab
How did you accomplish this? Were you able to login to the ECP on 2013? I can install 2013 but cannot do anything with it while 2007 is installed.
